Port Services Access Office – Badges

Organize and secure access to the port area.

This service serves as the dedicated point of contact for managing access authorizations to the port area of the Autonomous Port of Papeete. It assists users, partners, and stakeholders with procedures related to obtaining, renewing, or updating access badges.

It contributes to the organization and securing of traffic within the different areas of the port, in compliance with safety rules and procedures in force.

The forms relating to access requests are being digitized.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE ACCESS BADGE
Dedicated support to facilitate your access procedures and ensure the smooth running of your operations.
  1. An access badge is MANDATORY for any person accessing restricted access zones (ZAR) or controlled zones (ZAC).
  2. Access badge verification may be carried out by an agent authorized by the Port at any time to ensure that:
    1. The person presenting the badge is indeed the badge holder;
    2. The badge is valid and suitable for the area in question. Otherwise, the person will be escorted out of the area or port zone.
  3. The access badge is personal and nominative. He cannot be transferred, under no circumstances to a third party and should only be used by its owner.
  4. The holder or their representative has the obligation to fill out the form Declaration of cessation of activity in case of retirement, end of activity, end of contract or dismissal, etc. and to return the access badge.
  5. In case of loss, theft, damage to the badge, or if the badge is out of order, the holder, through their employer, must report it using the form  Declaration of: – loss, theft, or damage to the port badge, – malfunctioning access badge.
PORT AREAS CONCERNED

The port facilities (PF) concerned by the implementation of the provisions of the International Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code are defined by Order of the High Commissioner of the Republic in French Polynesiae.

The access office specifically processes badge applications at the facilities of the Autonomous Port of Papeete:

  • Cruise ship dock in Papeete
  • Fare Ute oil station
  • Motu Uta Bridge
    • International trade terminal at Motu Uta (Customs-controlled area)
    • Butane station (Eastern reef area of Motu Uta)
    • Motu Uta oil station
