About us Regulation Safety instructions

Preventing risks at sea and ensuring safe port operations

Maritime safety guidelines include rules designed to regulate behavior and prevent risks in maritime areas within the port environment.
They reiterate the general preventive measures applicable to ships, as well as the procedures to follow in case of emergency, disaster on board or in the vicinity.

The Autonomous Port of Papeete makes these regulations available in order to strengthen the safety of people, buildings and facilities, while facilitating the proper coordination of maritime activities.
Through their operational scope, they contribute to maintaining a clear, orderly framework that is compatible with port safety and security requirements.
