1. Information on the competent authority to grant authorizations for private equipment with public service obligation.

The competent authority to grant authorizations for private equipment with public service obligation on the international trade terminal of the port of Papeete is the Autonomous Port of Papeete, a public establishment of an industrial and commercial nature.

It is represented by its current chief executive officer.

2. Purpose of the public call for applications

This notice of public call for applications is launched in order to organise a competitive procedure prior to the award and delivery of three (3) private equipment authorizations with public service obligation on the international trade terminal of the port of Papeete.

The aforementioned authorizations will have as their main purpose the exercise of port handling activities under the conditions defined by the standard specifications, the draft standard agreement and its annexes.

3. Legal nature of the authorizations issued

The permits issued are temporary, precarious, and revocable authorizations for the occupation of the port's public domain. They do not constitute public service delegations or concessions.

4. Duration of authorizations

The authorizations will take effect on November 10, 2027 for a period of fifteen (15) years.
